Noelle Ellerson Ng


Noelle Ellerson Ng joined AASA in 2007 as a policy analyst. As Associate Executive Director, she directs the legislative and advocacy efforts of AASA in Congress and the U.S. Department of Education. Her team is responsible for representing the voice and priorities of the nation’s public school superintendents in all aspects of federal education policy and uses member networks, outreach, policy analysis, and surveys and research to advance their work. She speaks regularly on federal education policy to school leaders across the country.

Before coming to AASA, Ellerson Ng was a high school special education teacher in Central New York. She worked in state-level advocacy for the College Board while earning her master’s degree.

A native of New York, Ellerson Ng graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a degree in political science and certification in elementary and special education. She completed her master’s degree in public policy and education administration and policy at the Rockefeller College at the University of Albany (SUNY). She is an alum of the Institute for Educational Leadership Education Policy Fellowship Program (Class of 2010) and the Emerging Leaders Program, through PDK., (Class of 2013-14).

Ellerson Ng has published several chapters, articles and white papers covering education policy, superintendent advocacy, and superintendent pathways.
