Council for Educational Travel, USA (CETUSA) has highly qualified Mandarin language teaching graduates from China with classroom experience and enthusiasm who are ready to come to the United States to share their culture and their language with American students and to support your teachers. We are now placing interns as Mandarin Language teacher's aides for 2016.

CETUSA provides schools with pre-screened applicants who have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and classroom experience to serve as teacher’s aides for up to twelve months.  The Chinese participants travel under CETUSA sponsorship on the J-1 Visitor Exchange program with the US Department of State.

CETUSA sponsorship makes the process very easy for the host school.  We guide the applicant through the visa process and support their move to the United States. Participants, not the host schools, are responsible for program fees, travel costs, health insurance and visa related documents.  Host schools are also exempt from FICA and FUTA taxes.  Host schools decide what skills, qualifications and start dates they need, and we will find the right candidate for them.

“CETUSA made it very easy for us to work through the visa process with the teachers, to develop meaningful and fun training plans for them, and to meet all reporting requirements. The teachers meshed well into the life of the school, provided much welcomed assistance to the regular classroom teachers who mentored them, and really became a lively and well liked part of the school community. All in all, it was a memorable year for the trainees and for our students and staff!” - St. Mary’s School, Medford, OR.

“Within the program, I have learned a lot of useful things about teaching in every aspect.  Besides, I had a lot of chances to experience American culture, joining the outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, skiing, etc.) that was organized by the school.” ~ Su, participant

“Through the structured and guided training-based program, Zhang was able to not only gain valuable exposure to the U.S. culture, but also received practical hands-on experience in the classroom.” ~ Principal

“Because my major is teaching Chinese as a second language, I learned a lot about teaching methods how to teach Chinese effectively.  Teaching benefits teachers as well as students.  Sometimes students make you think more about your native language, you can discover a deeper meaning to the language than before. Different cultures are so beneficial to the whole experience.”  ~ Zhang, Participant
