Roderick Sams

Dr. Roderick Sams is the Chief Development Officer for CENTEGIX, an organization focused on supporting communities in creating safer environments for its citizens. As a former award-winning principal, teacher, and coach, Dr. Sams has dedicated his professional life to sharing his personal mission of leading for learning. Born into a rural Georgia family as the first to achieve advanced collegiate degrees, Dr. Sams believes that success in life is determined by where you end, not where you start, and that all communities can be improved through personal and civic responsibility. He attended Morehouse College majoring in history/pre-law before achieving bachelor’s, education specialist, and doctoral degrees from Georgia Southern University. He has participated in several professional development programs, including Leadership Georgia, Governor’s School Leadership Institute, Georgia School Superintendents Association, and the Georgia Leadership Institute for School Improvement.
