Nancy Aloi Rose
In her 14th year with the Bethel Park, Pa. School District, Nancy Aloi Rose has moved into the district’s top administrative berth following a short stint as acting superintendent. She earlier was Bethel Park’s assistant superintendent for five years. Aloi Rose joined the district as Independence Middle School principal, then served as director of curriculum and instruction. She has held various posts in Pennsylvania schools since 1978, including a principalship in Bethlehem. Aloi Rose, an AASA member since 2006, began her career as a teacher of developmentally delayed children.

The Del Valle Independent School District in Travis County, Texas, has named its first female superintendent. Kelly Crook, an educator for 17 years, assumed the reigns of the 11,000-student district after spending six months as interim superintendent. She also worked as assistant superintendent for finance and operations. Crook has experience as an English as a second language teacher in Dallas and Frisco, Texas, and program specialist with the Texas Education Agency. An AASA member since 2004, she received her Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

The Half Hollow Hills district in Dix Hills, N.Y., has a new superintendent in Kelly Fallon. She joined the district in 1995, beginning five years as principal of the Paumanok School. She later served as assistant superintendent for elementary and middle-level instruction, assistant superintendent for districtwide administration and deputy superintendent. Fallon earlier was a principal in Lindenhurst, N.Y., and held various positions in Bay Shore, N.Y., where she began her career as a kindergarten teacher. Fallon has been a member of AASA since 2000.

Timothy Ogle is the new executive director of the Arizona School Boards Association after serving in the superintendency of the 8,700-student Avon Community School Corp. in Indianapolis, Ind., since 2005. An AASA member for nearly a decade, Ogle previously served as superintendent for three years in Middlebury, Ind., and as principal of Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Ind. He spent much of his career in the East Noble School Corporation in Kendallville, Ind. Ogle received his Ph.D. in educational administration from Indiana State University.


Jeffrey A. Villar
The new superintendent in the 4,000-student Windsor, Conn., Public Schools is Jeffrey Villar. An AASA member since 2007, Villar joins from nearby Rocky Hill, Conn., where he served as superintendent for four years. He earlier moved up the ranks in Meriden, Conn., working as assistant principal, principal and associate superintendent. Villar began his career as an educator in Hartford, Conn., first as a social studies teacher before moving on to a stint as vice principal and curriculum specialist for the city’s Sports Sciences Academy. He holds a Ph.D. in curriculum instruction from the University of Connecticut.

William (Bill) Zelei has been named the Ohio Department of Education’s associate superintendent for the Division of Accountability and Quality Schools. Previously, Zelei spent 17 years in the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District in Lyndhurst, Ohio, four as business manager and more recently as superintendent. Earlier, he worked in the Brunswick, Ohio, City Schools and Laurel School, a K-12 private school for girls in Cleveland, Ohio. An AASA member since 2007, Zelei earned his doctorate in educational administration from the University of Akron.
