Submitting your manuscript

To submit a manuscript, send it as a Word document file attachment to, or send a hard copy of your manuscript by mail to:

Please do not send manuscripts by facsimile. Do not send both an electronic file and a hard copy. Within a week of receiving your manuscript, the editors will respond via e-mail to confirm receipt.

Next, two to three magazine staff members typically evaluate each manuscript and recommend whether it should be considered for publication. The author generally receives a letter on the status of the article about eight weeks after submission. If two months pass and you have not received a final decision, contact Jacqueline Hyman, via e-mail or phone (703-875-0707).
