The Humanizing Power of Podcasting

As a new superintendent, I was eager to find a unique way to communicate with the students, parents and employees in my 58,000-student school district. I brought the idea of hosting a podcast to the three members of my communications staff, and they jumped on board.

Even though the Supercast, as we decided to call it, was added to their plates without any additional personnel, it never has felt like “one more thing.” Instead, hosting a podcast has been an ideal platform for connecting us with the people in our school community.
