On Friday, August 1, the White House will be hosting a webinar for superintendents with the Departments of Education and Agriculture about the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). The goal of the webinar is to respond to questions about CEP and to provide superintendents and school leaders with the opportunity to hear directly from leaders from a state department of education about how they worked with their local districts to address some of the same concerns that other districts may have with respect to CEP implementation. We know that some schools are still deciding whether to participate in CEP for the coming year in advance of the August 31 deadline, while others are considering participation for the following year.

The White House and the Departments of Education and Agriculture are committed to promoting CEP because it has proven to be an effective tool in making sure that students in high poverty schools get access to the healthy meals that enable them to succeed in school. We welcome all interested superintendents and their teams to join the call on Friday and to submit any questions or concerns that they have to the following email: communityeligibility@who.eop.gov
