As a leader in the district, Dan oversees the development of Mason’s elementary STEAM curriculum, which emphasizes hands-on, interdisciplinary learning to inspire curiosity and creativity in young learners. He also led the creation of "My Mason Journey," a distinctive course designed to amplify the district’s Portrait of a Comet skills—adaptability, empathy, integrity, critical thinking, and communication. Through this work, Dan helps students uncover their strengths, explore their purpose, and build essential human skills.

In addition, Dan leads the district’s AI Explorers team, a group dedicated to understanding and leveraging the transformative potential of AI in education. The team’s mission is to explore innovative applications of AI that can amplify critical thinking, creativity, and personalized learning experiences for students and teachers alike.

With a career spanning roles as a science and social studies teacher, innovation coach, and assistant principal, Dan brings a wealth of experience and a passion for educational innovation to his work. He is deeply committed to creating engaging learning experiences that prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing world, equipping them with the skills and confidence to succeed.
