Fermin Leal

Fermin Leal has served as the Chief Communications and Community Relations Officer at Santa Ana Unified School District, one of California’s largest urban districts, since 2020. Fermin’s previous experience includes working for 17 years in print journalism across Southern California. In his current Role, Fermin has focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance school communications and foster engagement with diverse school communities. Fermin holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton, and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California.
