Jackie Pons
Jackie Pons serves as the Superintendent of Jefferson County K–12 and is a former Blue Ribbon Principal—one of only 14 individuals in the U.S. to achieve this prestigious recognition. During his 10-year tenure as Superintendent of Leon County, he led the Turnaround Office, transforming it into Florida's leading majority-minority school district.
A distinguished alumnus of Florida A&M University, Jackie has been honored on the Wall of Honor for Distinguished Alumni. His career began as a high school teacher, progressing to roles as Assistant Principal, Principal, Superintendent, and a nationally recognized turnaround school speaker.
In addition to his achievements in education, Jackie coached a basketball team to a state championship title and founded a successful million-dollar business. As an accomplished executive with decades of experience, Jackie has a proven track record of leading large, multi-department school districts through strategic vision, a commitment to quality teaching, operational efficiency, and cost control.
