Jennifer Love
Dr. Jennifer Love is a respected author, district leader and consultant on effective practices in language access and engagement. She obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education and language acquisition from Wake Forest University and holds a Doctorate of Education in Culturally Responsive Educational Leadership as part of a cohort of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
Dr. Love has dedicated her career to elevating effective practices in language access and equitable family engagement, and has served in various instructional and leadership roles throughout her career of over two decades in education. In her current role, she leads language access services for thousands of culturally and linguistically diverse families in Prince George's County Public Schools, Maryland. She is featured as an expert in the field by the National Education Association (NEA) and is a frequent guest lecturer, presenter and speaker. She has also been a key collaborator to elevate the statewide focus on language access during her six year tenure as President of the Maryland English Language Learning Family Involvement Network (MELLFIN). She has proudly served and supported the American Association of Interpreters and Translators in Education (AAITE) in elevating and professionalizing interpreting and translation in K-12 education. She has also developed a professional language access community framework and implemented a foundational interpreting and translation course for high school students in the district, both of which are critical for creating a meaningful and sustainable language access program.
Dr. Love is a proud Washingtonian, hockey mom, and enjoys travel and camping with her husband and sons!
