Kenneth Dyer
Superintendent, Dougherty County Schools (Ga.)
Kenneth Dyer has served as Superintendent of Dougherty County Schools since 2017. Under his leadership, the district's graduation rate reached a historic high of 87.1%, surpassing the state average for five of the last six years. Dyer’s focus on early literacy has led to record improvements in third-grade English/Language Arts scores. He developed the strategic plan "The Way Forward," prioritizing early literacy, academic rigor, social/emotional wellness, workforce development, and community engagement. Dyer also expanded work-based learning opportunities and aligned Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs with local industry needs, enhancing educational relevance for students.
