Kristin Humphries
Dr. Kristin Humphries has dedicated his career to serving children and families, currently serving as the Superintendent of the East Moline School District since 2010. With experience as a teacher, technology director, principal, CFO, and superintendent, Dr. Humphries brings a comprehensive perspective to educational leadership. At the heart of his approach is a commitment to empowering educators through innovative practices. He has collaborated with his team to establish systems and structures that foster self-efficacy throughout the organization. Dr. Humphries is a tireless advocate for equity, actively engaging with community coalitions and serving on local non-profit boards. His current efforts focus on bringing the first community-based mesh Wi-Fi network to Illinois and school-based healthcare to East Moline, ensuring that all children have access to essential resources regardless of their socioeconomic background. As a member of the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) Governing Board, Dr. Humphries advocates for public education at all levels. He was part of a team that was instrumental in the passage of Illinois' historic Evidence-Based Funding formula and continues to champion for communities nationwide, working with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide schools with the flexibility needed to close the digital divide.
