Paul Cordova
Chief Córdova’s law enforcement career began in 1982 in the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. And he joined the Aldine ISD Police Department in 2020, feeling vested in the community where he has lived and worked for most of his adult life. Córdova holds multiple certifications, including Master Peace Officer and Master Jailer, and degrees in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Leadership Command College and a member of numerous law enforcement associations. Prior to joining Aldine ISD, Córdova joined the Houston Independent School District (HISD) as Assistant Chief of Police, helping manage the department’s response to Hurricane Harvey. He was then promoted to Chief of Police, adding an Office of Community Outreach, Emergency Response Team, and a Cyber Crimes Unit. He also improved the K9 Unit, restructured the command staff, and opened a second police department office. As head of the largest public school district police department in Texas, he supervised 215 officers and was responsible for the safety and security of over 209,000 students, 29,000 employees, and 280 campuses.
