Paula Patterson

Superintendent, Crosby Independent School District (Texas)

Dr. Paula Patterson is in her fourth school year serving as the proud Superintendent of Schools for the Crosby Independent School District. With 25 years of experience, this is Dr. Patterson’s third time to serve her hometown, first as a teacher, then principal, and now at the highest level of district leadership.

She is proud to serve on the Texas Association of School Administrators as an At-Large Executive Committee member and as President of the Region 4 Texas Council of Women School Executives. She recently received the Bravo Award from the Texas Council of Women School Executives state organization. In 2023, Dr. Patterson was named among the Top 30 Most Influential Women of Houston, a TAABSE Dining with Divas Honoree (2023 and 2025), and an inaugural recipient of the HAABSE Pinnacle Award.

Her ‘why’ in education is straightforward: forging new paths for students, driving innovation and excellence among staff, and leading the community she calls home. She and her husband Cedric Patterson, Jr. have two sons: Jeremiah, a graduate student at Texas State University, and Cedric, III, who earned his Master’s Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Rice University.
