Tammy Lawrence

Director of Student Support Services, Boulder Valley School District (Colo.)

Tammy Lawrence has proudly served as the Director of Student Support Services for the Boulder Valley School District since July 2017. With over 30 years of dedicated experience in education, Tammy is a passionate advocate for students' and staff well-being. Her career has been marked by a wide range of roles, from teaching early childhood, elementary, and high school students to serving as a high school counselor. For the past decade, she has had the privilege of contributing to district leadership. In her current role, Tammy focuses on advancing mental health services, trauma response efforts, and K-12 school counseling. One of her most recent initiatives has been the expansion of Wellness Centers in high schools across the Boulder Valley School District. The first of these centers was established in response to the devastating Marshall Fire, with the goal of providing essential mental health and wellness resources to students in need. 

Tammy’s lifelong commitment to fostering supportive, inclusive educational environments remains her driving focus, with the goal of making meaningful and positive impacts on the lives of students, educators, and the community.
