Biden Administration Launches School Safety Awareness Campaign

The Biden administration has launched a new campaign today to help schools, families and local leaders access information on safety measures that cover mental health, school climate support and cyberbullying, among other topics, through an online resource center.

The campaign is an interagency initiative between the Education Department and the departments of Health and Human Services, Homeland Security and Justice. The initiative is intended to help schools leverage provisions from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that was signed into law last year. The Education Department received $1 billion for grant programs to support mental health services and professionals, among other things.
