Community Sign-On Letter for Increased Labor-HHS-Education Funding in FY 2025
April 09, 2024
The Committee for Education Funding (CEF), in conjunction with the Coalition for Health Funding, Coalition on Human Needs, and Campaign to Invest in America’s Workforce, is circulating their annual sign-on letter to secure a strong funding allocation for the House and Senate Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittees. AASA is a member of CEF. Text of the letter can be found here.
This letter about the Subcommittee’s 302(b) allocation is an excellent opportunity to show lawmakers the strength of support for the “People's Bill," which provides virtually all federal education funding. The deadline for signing on has been extended to May 3, since they would like to send it before the Appropriations Committees make any decisions about funding totals for the FY 2025 bills. Individuals cannot sign the letter, but they will accept signatures from national, state, and local organizations, institutions, districts, companies, etc..
CEF has prepared FAQs that you could use to help build support for the letter within your organization and throughout the community. We encourage you to share. You can click here to sign on.
