PSLF and TEACH Grant Servicer Change
April 19, 2024
Beginning May 1, 2024, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant programs will no longer be managed through a designated loan servicer. Instead, we are updating our systems and contact centers to streamline and fully manage these programs through StudentAid.gov. District leaders should inform their staff of this change if they are pursuing either PSLF or have TEACH grants.
Moving forward, borrowers are able to
submit your PSLF and TEACH forms on StudentAid.gov,
track your progress with these programs on StudentAid.gov, and
get support for these programs through our contact centers.
These programs will be moved from MOHELA to ED on StudentAid.gov. This means that starting on May 1, 2024, ED will pause processing any forms for PSLF and TEACH Grants. Borrowers will continue to make payments to MOHELA. It is strongly recommend that all borrowers actively pursuing PSLF who have a payment tracker promptly download their PSLF records, take screenshots, and save correspondence by April 30th as it will no longer be available on MOHELA’s website starting May 1st.
