USDA Webinar: Child Nutrition Updates for Education Stakeholders

August 30, 2023

Thanks to bipartisan action by Congress, States now have two new tools to fight summer hunger. Starting in this summer, certain rural communities can provide summer meals to children through a “grab and go” or home delivery model; and launching next summer (2024), States can participate in the permanent nationwide Summer EBT program, which will provide grocery benefits for households with eligible children during the summer.

Join AASA, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and other education partners on Friday, September 15 at 1:00p.m. ET to learn how districts can support successful implementation of these programs to ensure students have access to the meals they need all year around. Attendees will also learn about the latest news regarding USDA’s proposals to update school meal standards and the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Register here.
