Alexandria, Va. – Feb. 11, 2020 – Superintendents, school district administrators, journalists, communications officers and other advocates of public education can follow activities at AASA’s 2020 National Conference on Education, Feb. 13-15, in San Diego, Calif., through Conference Daily Online.
The award-winning e-publication will include coverage of key speakers, topical sessions, award winners and AASA governance activities, plus photos and short videos from each day of the conference. The online site also will include daily blog postings by four AASA members, a continuous Twitter feed (#NCE2020) and Facebook page updates.
“Conference Daily Online is our way to reach school system leaders and advocates of public education and provide them with the rich content generated at our annual event,” said Jay P. Goldman, editor-in-chief. “Our online platform serves as a gathering place not only for our members attending the conference, but those who are unable to be there. Attending my 30th AASA national conference, it will, once again, be a professional honor to report on and share the myriad of activities that comprise our program lineup with the leadership of our public schools.”
The site will be updated with fresh content each evening, Feb. 12 to 15, and conference program schedule changes will be posted as they arise. A pre-conference issue with preview stories about various facets of the San Diego conference can be accessed now at Conference Daily Online.
During the first General Session (Thursday, Feb. 13), the 2020 National Superintendent of the Year® will be announced. Watch the video: “AASA’s 2020 National Superintendent of the Year® Finalists”, capturing the recent press briefing held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., featuring these outstanding school district leaders.
