San Diego, Calif. – Feb. 12, 2024 – Superintendents, school district administrators, journalists, communications officers and other advocates of public education can follow the primary activities of AASA’s 2024 National Conference on Education (Feb. 15-17) in San Diego, Calif. through Conference Daily Online.
The award-winning, multimedia publication, updated each day, will provide a comprehensive report on the conference proceedings, including coverage of key speakers, award winners and AASA governance activities, as well as photos, brief video clips and daily blog postings by four AASA members. For the first time, a pair of veteran education leaders will prepare a daily podcast featuring some of the most insightful contributors on the conference program.
“It's imperative that the leadership of our nation’s school districts are aware of key, top-of-mind issues that school system leaders are dealing with on a daily basis. Conference Daily Online is our way to reach superintendents and their teams, as well as other advocates of public education and provide them with the rich content generated at our annual event,” said Jay P. Goldman, editor-in-chief. “Our online platform serves as a gathering place not only for our members who are joining us in San Diego but those who are unable to attend. For more than 30 years, it has been a professional honor for me to report on and share the myriad of activities that comprise our program lineup with the leadership of our public schools.”

Each issue will be produced by AASA staff with the help of a select group of professionals and student interns—journalism students from area high schools and universities who hope to enter the field of news reporting as a career. Click here for the 2024 staff roster.
A pre-conference issue was issued on February 1 with preview stories about various facets of the event, including a short video featuring the 2024 Superintendent of the Year® finalists, superintendent job fair and the expanded exhibit hall with its more than 320 product and service booths, is already accessible on the site.
Last year, Conference Daily Online was presented the gold medal from the AM&P Network EXCEL Awards in the best daily convention publication category. The EXCEL Awards are the largest and most prestigious nationwide program recognizing excellence and leadership in association media, publishing, marketing and communications.
