Superintendents Reflect on Transformational Impact of McConaughey’s Greenlight Grants Initiative

In a recent ABC News interview, Superintendents Laurie Barron (Evergreen School District 50, Montana) and Adam Easterwood (Leeton R-X School District, Missouri), along with education experts Dr. Sharon Lynch and Dr. Gisele C. Shorter, discussed how Matthew McConaughey’s Greenlight Grants Initiative has significantly improved their schools. Their districts saw marked improvements in student performance, behavior, and attendance.

Since partnering with the Greenlight Grants Initiative in 2023, AASA has helped high-needs districts access free grant writing and technical assistance, simplifying the process of securing federal funding for mental health services, school security, and other safety measures.
