FCC Cybersecurity Pilot Program Now Open for Applications

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced the opening of the application window for its new Cybersecurity Pilot Program on September 17, 2024. This three-year, $200 million program is designed to support eligible schools, libraries, and
consortia in improving their cybersecurity infrastructure. The program aims to help defray the costs of essential cybersecurity services and equipment.
The application window is open from September 17 to November 1, 2024. To apply, eligible
entities must complete Part 1 of FCC Form 484, available through the Universal Service Administrative Company’s (USAC) E-Rate Productivity Center (EPC) system via its website.
Selected applicants will receive support to bolster their
cybersecurity defenses, ensuring that critical educational infrastructure is protected from potential threats.
