International Student Exchange: Equipping Students for an Interdependent Global Society

Every student should be equipped to navigate and thrive in a constantly evolving, interconnected world. Students benefit from:

  1. having access to well-rounded educational experiences that include learning multiple languages

  2. gaining a deeper understanding of the history, culture, and context of various global regions

  3. obtaining an education that emphasizes developing empathy for human diversity, shared experiences, and cultural backgrounds

Join representatives from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), The Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET) and the Alliance for International Exchange for a one-hour webinar Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 3pm ET and learn the value of international high school exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

The panelists will share their thoughts on the benefits of international students in American high schools and communities. They will also touch on scholarship programs that are available for American high school students to study abroad. What better way for the youth of today to meet the global challenges of tomorrow than building bridges of cross-cultural understanding right in your schools?
