This issue's theme revolves around “the struggle over who controls the future of America’s public schools as coming down to a matter of trust.” His editorial is titled “Opportunities for Trust Building in Times of Discord.” In developing this volume Mitchell has drawn from three articles—two research-based and a book review.
The first research article is titled “Superintendent Trustworthiness: Elementary School Principals’ Experiences and Perceptions” by Justin Benna.
The second research article by Julia DiSalvo Drake is titled “Female Superintendents’ Perceptions of Unconscious Gender Bias In the Superintendency: An Exploratory quantitative Study.”
And the book review is by Art Stellar of Native American Bilingual Education: An Ethnography of Power Forces, written by Cheryl Crawley.
