Building stronger foundations for every child.
One thing we all have in common is: hopelessness is not an option for any of us.
Jack Shonkoff, founding director, Center on the Developing Child, Harvard University
A few weeks ago, AASA’s Early Learning Cohort participants and invited guests from other AASA cohorts had the chance to learn from Jack Shonkoff, founding director, Center on the Developing Child, Harvard University.
Dr. Shonkoff took the group on a deep dive into the science of early childhood education, exploring everything from the intricacies of brain development in a child's early years to the vital connections between scientific research and community impact. He offered fresh perspectives on expanding the early childhood ecosystem and strengthening the foundations of healthy childhood development to set all of our young learners up for success.
While this session was part of AASA's professional learning cohort experience, we're excited to share a clip from Dr. Shonkoff's presentation with the entire AASA community:
We’re also thrilled to have Dr. Shonkoff as one of many speakers who will share insights with us at AASA’s upcoming Lifelong Learning Skills Summit April 23 - 25. I hope you’ll join us in Georgia!
