Evaluation of Superintendents

STATE OF THE SUPERINTENDENCY

A positive relationship exists between linking the superintendent’s performance evaluation to student outcomes and the size of the school district, according to an AASA survey of 2,706 superintendents.

Superintendents running the largest school systems were much more likely to have school boards using student performance indicators in their professional evaluation.
