My View

In October 2008, after I was appointed superintendent, I received The Maxwell Leadership Bible from my husband. It’s known as a best-selling book for decades, highlighting leadership lessons and drawing parallels between biblical leaders and modern leadership principles.

Little did I know this bible would become an invaluable resource for guiding my professional decisions.

As I share in my recent book Setting the Atmosphere for Faith-Filled Educational Leaders (Vine Publishing, 2024), core biblical principles have guided me in my work. By combining my faith with the principles of efficacy and a growth mindset, I’ve been able to create an atmosphere that nurtures confidence, fosters growth and leads to improved performance.

My faith in God is the foundation of my leadership. Through it, I find the strength, wisdom and guidance to lead with integrity and compassion. By instilling in myself and others the belief that we all have the capacity to succeed, to overcome challenges and reach new heights, I am inspired to create, support and sustain systems that foster successful leadership and student achievement.
