My View

Many people are familiar with the expression “If you fall off the horse, get back on.” Growing up on a farm and then watching my wife work with horses, I know firsthand this saying involves two players: you and the horse. It isn’t just about you but also your relationship with the horse.

When you work with horses, you inevitably will fall off once in a while. Horses are animals, and they won’t always listen to you. People are much the same in that regard.

It is easy to equate falling off the horse with failure. These negative experiences naturally shake our confidence, planting a seed of doubt and causing us to question our abilities. After all, if we fell off once, we can fall off again.
