Implementing artificial intelligence guidelines does not require a hefty price tag. In central New Jersey, the Roselle Public Schools are demonstrating that.
The district, with about 3,000 students, is using AI tools in the curriculum on a budget. We explore creative solutions and leverage a host of community partnerships. Measured by the state’s average per-pupil spending, Roselle is considered in the lowest quartile among the 20 districts in the county at No. 18.
Limited resources require we maximize partnerships with local businesses, educational organizations and technology companies to access free or low-cost AI tools. Additionally, we explore grants and alternative government-funded resources targeted to technology integration and educational innovation to fill the resource gaps.
