State of the Superintendency
Nearly two-thirds of school boards meet with their superintendent no more than once per year for professional development purposes, including 21 percent who never meet for that reason.
According to 370 responses to a recent survey of superintendents
in New York state, one in five boards do not hold a retreat with the superintendent for this purpose.
