Advanced degrees make a difference in school system leadership just as they do in most professional fields.

The latest superintendent salary survey conducted by AASA illustrates the value of doctoral degrees on salary level. More than 1,800 superintendents responded.

Note: Only 12 superintendents in the survey reported holding a J.D. degree, while just two had a CPA degree.
